Our ANZAC Day celebration on Friday was amazing. Together with the Taupo Cadets and the community, our students participated in the full ceremony, showing a great deal of respect for our fallen soldiers. The poppies made by the students were laid at the feet of the 25 white crosses. The music of the last post echoed around our pool area reminding us of the impact of the World Wars on our country and our communities.
This Friday we have another celebration of the hard work that has gone into our Aquaponics Unit. Three years of commitment from our school will be on show. The whole school will participate as we Powhiri our guests onto the school grounds and then move to the pool area where the seating will be set up. You will be able to see the area because our new flags will be on display. Following the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting there will be a tour of the unit followed by a light morning tea. All our community is welcome to attend the ceremony. If you are going to attend I ask that you call the school office or email and let Val know so we can make sure we have enough cups out on the day.
There has been an upload of a number of class movies about POWER to the website. On the bottom on the front page there is a video section. It scrolls along. If you click on it and pull the slider it will move along to find the video you might like to look at. Also use the search function at the top of the page. It will bring up the video using key words. The website is really taking shape now with lots of new items occurring regularly.
