Newsletter Week 7 Term 2 2015

Thank you for your support for our school Teacher Only Day held on Friday. As teachers and support staff we were able to get a lot of work completed around the direction of the school and where we are headed in the future. It takes time to look closely at the achievement data of our students and to be able to focus on what we need to keep doing and what we need to change to make improvement.

At all times our students are at the centre of what we do and how we do it.

I can already see the change in attitude of many of our senior students as we move them to become more involved in their own learning and be able to set their own personal goals.

The individual timetable that is running in Rooms 1 and 2 is beginning to filter out to the other rooms. Not all classes will run this way this year however you will see more and more of them taking off with this kind of learning in the next few months.

Our PTA hosted a lovely welcome to our new families at their annual nibble evening held last week. Thank you to Margaret and Kelvyn Polglase for hosting the evening and to the PTA for wonderful food and warm welcome.

It was great to see the new families present at the evening. There was also a strong turn out from existing PTA members, Board of Trustees members and staff to greet our new families.

Have a great start to June.
